In an important bout between featherweight contenders, IBF #4 Fernando Beltran Jr. (33-3-1, 18 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over IBF #5 rated Monty Meza-Clay (28-3, 19 KOs) on Friday night at the Laredo Entertainment Center, in Laredo, Texas. Throwing more than 100 punches a round, the former two-time world title challenger Beltran simply outworked Meza-Clay to win by scores of 117-110, 115-112, 117-110. Beltran retains his IBF Latino featherweight belt.

WBO #6 junior middleweight “Mean” Joe Greene (21-0, 14 KOs) outhustled Delray Raines (15-6, 10 KOs) over eight rounds. Scores were 79-73, 79-73, 78-74.

Olympian junior middleweight Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade (5-0, 4KOs) was forced to go the route for the first time, taking a four round nod over Tony Hirsch (8-2-1, 4 KOs). Scores were 40-36 on all cards.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT CARD
IN TUXTLA GUTIERREZ, CHIAPAS, MEXICO
 
Due to scheduling conflicts, the date for IBF featherweight world championship fight card in Tuxtla Gutierrez has been changed to Saturday, July 11. The card was originally scheduled for June 27.
 
Arthur Pelullo’s Banner Promotions, Rodney Berman’s Golden Gloves, and Fernando Beltran’s Promociones Zanfer will promote the card at El Palenque in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico.
 
In the main event scheduled for 12 rounds, International Boxing Federation featherweight world champion Cristobal “Lacandon” Cruz, 38-11-1 with 23 knockouts, now based in Tijuana, Mexico, will make his second defense of the title against Jorge “Coloradito” Solis, 37-1-2 with 27 knockouts, of Guadalajara, Mexico.

Rodney Berman’s Golden Gloves and Arthur Pelullo’s Banner Promotions will present a sensational fight card on Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Emperors Palace, located at 64 Jones Street in Kempton Park, South Africa. Featured fights will be televised live on Supersport.
 
The main event, scheduled for 12 rounds, will match Philip “Time Bomb” Ndou, 32-3 with 31 knockouts, of Johannesburg, South Africa, against former IBF jr. welterweight world champion Lovemore “Black Panther” Ndou, 46-11-1 with 31 knockouts, a native of Messina, Transvaal, South Africa, based in Sydney, Australia. They are not related. The fight is an IBO welterweight elimination bout, with the winner to face Matthew Hatton for the IBO welterweight world title.

The main event, co-feature, and other selected fights will be televised live on ESPN2, ESPN Desportes, their Spanish-Language Network, and ESPN 360.com.
 
In the main event scheduled for 12 rounds, Fernando Beltran Jr., 32-3-1 with 18 knockouts, of Culiacan, Mexico, the International Boxing Federation’s number four ranked featherweight contender, will make his first defense of the IBF Latino featherweight title against Monty Meza-Clay, 28-2 with 19 knockouts, of Rankin, Pennsylvania, the IBF’s number six ranked contender.
