Banner Promotions will present “Conquest of the Cage,” a sensational mixed martial arts fight card on Friday, May 29, 2009, in the Pend O’reille Pavillion at Northern Quest Resort & Casino, located at North 100 Hayford Road in Airway Heights, Washington.
Banner Promotions president Art Pelullo said, “This is the fifth ‘Conquest in the Cage’ event that we’ve promoted at Northern Quest Resort & Casino. They’ve generated a lot of excitement and drawn capacity crowds, and we’re expecting another great event and sold-out arena on May 29.”
The main event will be scheduled for five five-minute rounds for the United Mixed Martial Arts bantamweight (125 pounds) championship featuring Eddie Fore, 8-2, of Spokane, Washington, vs. Jordan Sutton, 8-7, of Keizer, Oregon.
Eddie Fore is on active duty at Fairchild Air Force Base – he recently completed a four-year tour of duty and re-enlisted for another four years. Just 22 years old, he is a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) instructor at the base.
Regarding his own MMA style, Eddie said, “I actually try to incorporate all of the martial arts. I’ve got a pretty good wrestling background that I try to bring in, and that also helps me with with my submission wrestling. About a year and a half ago, I really got into striking a lot and I did a few Muay Thai fights, trying to get my striking down. I try to use it all - I try not to be one-dimensional.”
Nine more exciting MMA fights featuring fighters from the local Washington area and Pacific Northwest will complete the card.

Doors open at 6:00 P.M., first fight at 7:00 P.M. (Pacific Time)
