A fight between IBF featherweight champion Cristobal “Lacandon” Cruz (39-11-2, 23 KOs) and #15 ranked Ricardo “Piolo” Castillo (38-7-1, 25 KOs) ended in a third round technical draw on Saturday night at the Palenque in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico. An unintentional headbutt left Cruz unable to continue before the bout had gone the four rounds required to go to the cards
